Sea Beats
Tucked away along Weymouth's picturesque Esplanade, Sea Beats offers an unforgettable dining experience where fresh seafood and local ingredients shine. If you're in the mood for a seaside feast, this restaurant is your go-to destination, especially if you're a seafood lover looking for quality, variety, and stunning views.
At Sea Beats, the focus is undoubtedly on seafood, and the menu reflects this passion with a delightful array of dishes. Start your meal with a Crab Pate, a creamy, savory appetizer that sets the tone for the fresh flavors to come. If you're looking for something more hearty, the Mixed Fish Mussels and Saffron Potatoes in a Creamy Chowder is a must-try. Served with a side of crusty bread, it's the kind of dish that makes you feel right at home.
For those seeking a feast for two, the Seafood Platter is an excellent choice. It includes an assortment of fresh catches, perfectly prepared to bring out the natural flavors of the ocean. If you're craving something specific, the Sea Bass and Dauphinoise Potatoes provide a beautifully balanced dish of flaky fish paired with creamy, indulgent potatoes.
What sets Sea Beats apart is not just the variety, but also the thoughtfulness that goes into each dish. The Seafood Boil combines a medley of fresh shellfish and fish, seasoned to perfection and cooked to maintain its natural sweetness. For those who prefer a lighter, yet equally delicious option, the Megrim Sole is another standout - a delicate fish served with fresh vegetables and a subtle seasoning that enhances its natural flavor.
The Pan Fried Fillet of Sea Bass offers a crispy exterior with a tender, flaky inside - a simple dish that’s elevated by its impeccable execution. And if you're in the mood for a refreshing, light bite, the Crab Salad is both satisfying and vibrant, perfect for a sunny afternoon on the terrace.
While seafood dominates the menu, Sea Beats also offers other culinary delights that cater to all tastes. The Fresh Oysters served with a zesty mignonette sauce offer a tangy, fresh taste of the ocean. If you're in the mood for something rich and comforting, the Hasselback Potatoes and Breaded Whitebait with Garlic Aioli are perfect side dishes that complement any main course.
For those who enjoy desserts, Sea Beats excels in creating indulgent yet balanced sweet treats. The Lemon Posset is a refreshing citrus delight that cleanses the palate, while the Affogato is a coffee lover's dream - an espresso poured over vanilla ice cream that’s as rich in flavor as it is in texture.
Whether you're dining in the cozy indoor seating area or enjoying the fresh sea breeze on the outdoor terrace, Sea Beats offers a welcoming and accessible environment. The restaurant is designed with inclusivity in mind, providing wheelchair-accessible seating and an entrance to ensure that all guests can enjoy their meal comfortably.
The view from the restaurant adds another layer to the experience, with the Esplanade providing a picturesque backdrop, making it ideal for a leisurely lunch or a relaxed dinner. Whether you're a local or a visitor, the tranquil ambiance, combined with the restaurant's dedication to exceptional food and service, makes Sea Beats a place worth returning to time and time again.

Wow the sea bass was absolutely delicious. Restaurant is a pleasant, unremarkable place but the food is outstanding. Would have happily come back the following evening and eaten the same meal all over again.
We came for lunch, lovely setting, clean, great atmosphere, nice to be on the seafront, authentic seafood restaurant- dishes cooked to perfection, delicious huge fresh oysters, and the chowder was fantastic, gorgeous bottle of wine too. Waiter Harry was brilliant, friendly and attentive, highly recommend, we will definitely be back
Atmosphere simple but effective with light hanging sea fare decorations, soft lighting and wooden furniture. It draws attention to the main attraction… the food! Which was everything we wanted from a restaurant specialising in seafood. We went for their 3 courses deal which I think is great value as the food was delicious and portions reasonable. The little one had something from the children’s menu (prawn linguine) very tasty. We were served by a young gentleman who was lovey. Polite and professional. We will definitely return !
Absolutely Outstanding – A Must-Visit! I had the pleasure of dining at Sea Beats in Weymouth on Friday, and I can honestly say it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive – the team really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Now onto the food – wow. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavour. You can really tell that only the freshest ingredients are used, and there’s a real passion behind everything that comes out of the kitchen. It’s not often you find somewhere that combines such high-quality food with top-notch service in a relaxed and comfortable setting. If you're visiting Weymouth or even if you're local, Sea Beats should be at the top of your list. We'll definitely be back – a truly memorable meal!
Attended sea beats tonight, booked by my fiance for my birthday! WOW!!! we eat out a few times a month at all different restaurants but this one is THE BEST!! We had scallops for starters, which were cooked to perfection and sea bass for main!!! This has to be the best meal me and my fiance have had in a very VERY long time!! Food was beautifully cooked by rich (brilliant chef) and top marks to Harry, the server that couldn't accommodate us more if he tried. Brilliant team guys!! Shows in what you deliver
